Song Tailor is a small custom-song studio run by Mo Elshereif. Questions about anything below: hello@songtailor.net.
Your details & privacy
- What we collect: the occasion, who the song is for, and the story you type into the order form; your email address; and your payment, which is handled entirely by Stripe - we never see or store your card number.
- What we use it for: writing and delivering your song, contacting you about your order, and understanding which of our posts bring people to the site. We do not sell or rent your details and we don't use them for advertising. We share only what's needed to run the service: your payment goes through Stripe, and the limited analytics described below go to Google Analytics.
- How long we keep it: your song brief is kept for up to 2 years after delivery so we can support changes and re-sends, then deleted. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires (Stripe holds these). Email hello@songtailor.net any time to ask for a copy of what we hold, or to have your brief deleted sooner.
- Website analytics (Google Analytics): on songtailor.net we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which posts or platforms lead to orders. It sets cookies in your browser that hold pseudonymous identifiers (a random browser ID and a session ID, not your name). Google receives the pages you view (address without any private link codes), the type of device and browser, the approximate area you're in as Google estimates it, and the steps you take on the site (sending your song details, going to checkout). Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off; we use it for analytics only.
- Campaign links: if you arrive through one of our tagged links (for example from our TikTok or Instagram), your browser remembers which platform and post type it was in its local storage for up to 90 days, and we save that with your order. These are fixed labels such as "instagram" or "promo video", never personal information.
- Purchases: when a payment is confirmed, our server tells Google Analytics that a purchase happened, with the package, the amount, any discount or tax, the campaign labels above, and a random transaction number that only we can link to your order. We do not send your name, email address, song story, lyrics, files, your private order link, Stripe's payment session ID, or any card or bank details.
- Opting out: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we don't load Google Analytics and don't store campaign labels. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on. Google Analytics keeps this data for the retention period set in our account (currently Google's default of 2 months for detailed reports, unless we change it), and Google's own privacy policy applies to it. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies.
- A note on personal stories: please share only what you're comfortable with, and avoid sensitive details about children or other people that aren't needed for the song.
Payment
- Payment is made in full, upfront, through Stripe, before production begins.
- Prices are shown on the pricing section and at checkout.
What you get & when
- Your song as MP3 + WAV, usually within 1–2 business days after payment, once we have all your song details.
- Every package: a lyric video of each song (a vertical video of the full song with the name and lyrics on a themed background, no photos), plus up to 3 free changes per order. One change is one message with everything you'd like updated, and we send back the new version. The 3 changes are shared across the whole order, not per song.
- Athletics / school packages include school-use rights for the finished track.
- Orders retain the benefits stated at purchase. Orders purchased under earlier package terms keep those terms, including one revision round per song where promised. Any additional benefits will not reduce those entitlements.
- Multi-song packages are one order: send us the details for every song right after payment (not later in the year), and every song is delivered the same way.
Changes, cancellations & refunds
- Because every song is custom work that begins as soon as your payment clears, orders are non-refundable once production has started.
- If you contact us before we've started, we'll refund you in full.
- Your package includes changes to get the details right: up to 3 free changes per order. If something is still wrong after that, email hello@songtailor.net and we'll work with you to make it right.
- If we're ever unable to complete your song, you'll get a full refund.
